MemTick is a personal journaling and memory application that allows users to record daily events, attach optional images, search past entries, receive daily reminders, and use reflection or review features based on their own saved content.
This Privacy Policy explains what information MemTick collects, how it is used, how it is stored, and what choices users have regarding their data.
This Privacy Policy applies to the MemTick mobile application, related web pages, and core services used to operate the application. By using MemTick, you acknowledge that your information may be processed as described in this policy.
Depending on how you use MemTick, we may collect and store the following categories of information.
MemTick is not designed to collect unnecessary categories of personal information. We do not intentionally collect payment card data through the app itself. We do not intentionally collect precise device location through core journaling features unless a future feature clearly asks for it and you grant permission. We do not sell personal data to advertisers.
Your information may be used for the following purposes.
MemTick may use automated processing or AI-assisted services to analyze your selected entries and generate responses such as reflections, daily evaluations, or practical suggestions.
These responses are generated from content that you have saved in your own account and from the date range selected in the application. Such features are intended to assist you in reviewing your own content. They are not intended to provide medical, legal, financial, or emergency guidance.
We do not state that AI-generated content is always correct, complete, or suitable for every purpose. Users should apply their own judgment when relying on automated suggestions.
We process your information because it is necessary to operate the MemTick service you choose to use, including login, entry storage, search, image display, reminders, and user-requested account functions such as export and deletion.
If you enable reminders, MemTick may schedule local notifications on your device to remind you to write about your day. These reminders are based on your device settings, notification permissions, battery restrictions, operating system behavior, and the time you choose.
Local reminders may continue to depend on device-level permissions such as notifications, alarms, battery optimization rules, and manufacturer restrictions.
MemTick may use databases, private object storage, secure tokens, and related infrastructure required to provide the service. Text entries may be stored in application databases. Attached images may be stored in private cloud object storage. Access to private files may be controlled through authenticated requests or temporary signed links.
We do not sell your personal information. We do not make your private entries or attached images publicly visible by default.
Your information may be processed by service providers strictly as needed to operate the app and its infrastructure, such as hosting, storage, email delivery, logging, or AI-related processing. These providers process data only to support service functionality and not for public disclosure of your private entries.
Because MemTick may use cloud infrastructure and service providers in more than one region, your information may be processed or stored in countries other than the one in which you reside. By using the service, you understand that such transfers may occur as part of normal service operation.
We use reasonable administrative and technical measures intended to protect information from unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, or destruction. These measures may include authenticated access, private storage, signed access links, access controls, and encrypted network connections where applicable.
However, no system can guarantee absolute security. Users should also help protect their own data by maintaining control over their email account and device access.
We retain account and content data while your account remains active and the data is needed to provide the service. If you delete individual entries, those entries are removed according to the application workflow. If you permanently delete your account, account-related content is scheduled for deletion as part of the deletion process.
Limited technical logs, backups, or operational traces may remain for a restricted period where reasonably necessary for integrity, security, system recovery, fraud prevention, or legal compliance.
Depending on available features, you may be able to do the following inside MemTick.
MemTick provides an in-app option to permanently delete your account. If you choose to delete your account, associated account data, saved entries, and related images are intended to be removed through the service deletion workflow.
Some temporary records, residual logs, or limited backups may persist for a restricted period where required for technical integrity, security, or legal reasons, after which they are removed in accordance with system retention practices.
MemTick may rely on third-party infrastructure or libraries to deliver core features such as notifications, hosting, email, storage, time zone handling, AI processing, and platform integration. The use of such services is limited to supporting the operation of the application.
MemTick is not intended for children who are not legally permitted to use online services under applicable law without the involvement of a parent or guardian. If you believe that personal data has been provided in violation of this requirement, please contact us.
Because MemTick is a journaling application, users may choose to write personal content in their entries. Please only store information that you are comfortable managing in a digital application. Users remain responsible for the content they choose to record.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect service changes, legal requirements, operational needs, or product improvements. When changes are made, the updated version will be published on this page with an updated effective date.
